Trenchless Technology & Rehabilitation

Trenchless (No-Dig) Pipe Repair Services

Unlike traditional sewer repair methods, trenchless pipe rehabilitation is accomplished without excavation. Pipes are accessed and repaired to full integrity or replaced without disruptions and potential risks.

Our Trenchless Sewer Pipe Repair Technologies

Trenchless sewer pipe repair services restore pipes to full integrity without the disruptions and potential risks associated with traditional repair methods. We help municipalities handle sewer line repairs safely, efficiently and cost-effectively by eliminating the need to dig long trenches to access and repair or replace old or damaged pipes.

Outdated pipe repair techniques come with a hefty price tag due to the amount of labor involved. Trenchless or no-dig pipe repair, on the other hand, is performed with a much smaller crew. By eliminating the time and labor costs associated with trench digging, today’s trenchless repair methods potentially save municipalities thousands of dollars on sewer pipe repair.

In addition to being less expensive and less labor-intensive, benefits of trenchless rehab include the following: It is simpler to accomplish, pipe maintenance does not destroy landscaping or environmentally sensitive areas, necessary work is completed without closing streets and rerouting traffic, and the no-digging process translates into significant time savings vs. digging.

The trenchless water line repair process typically begins with an inspection of the existing line with fiber optic cameras. Any roots or other obstructions are cut or blasted away with pneumatic or water-jet tools. Once everything is cleared out, the next step in no-dig pipe repair is to replace the broken or degraded section using one of the state-of-the-art trenchless rehabilitation technologies described below.

CIPP Lining — The cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) lining technique involves placing a special liner inside the pipe, creating a new pipe within the old, broken one. Also called pipe-in-pipe relining, this method uses a textile liner tube and a liquid resin to reline the pipe.

LMK T-Liner Rehab — LMK’s T-Liner® is a one-piece homogenous main and lateral CIPP connection liner. This process fully restores the pipe’s structural integrity, creates a watertight system and provides lasting resistance to root intrusion.

UV Cure — The UV cured-in-place-pipe lining method creates a strong, long-lasting pipe by pulling a fiberglass-reinforced, UV light-cured liner into the pipe’s interior. Our advanced system forms a complete circumferential lining within a seven-minute cure time.

Cosmic Top Hat — The Cosmic Top Hat™ UV-cure system creates a strong, watertight seal between the main pipe and a lateral connection. A resin-impregnated fiberglass laminate is shaped to fit within the lateral and wrap around the main pipe.

Mechanical Spot Repair — This is an economical method for repairing localized problems without replacing or relining the entire pipe or excavating the area around it. High-quality grouting or PVC repair sleeves restore the host pipe’s original strength.
